Nothing's been the same ever since Oakley came to live at Mavis' house. Change can be hard, but change can bring good things too.

Ornery Owl's Review

Five out of Five Stars

I adored this charming story about a sometimes naughty but always good-hearted pup named Oakley and his cat companion, Mavis. Although Mavis is often nonplussed by Oakley's overly exuberant behavior, they will always be friends.

This book is appropriate for children of all ages. The story is short and simple and the illustrations are charming and colorful. There is nothing potentially alarming or upsetting in this feel-good, family-friendly book. You can feel confident about picking up a copy for an animal-loving youngster in your life.

About the Author

Kristen Grainger is a poet, author and performing songwriter who loves books. She lives with her husband in the Pacific Northwest not far from their grown children who also love books.
