Story Blurb

When Marta Benscoter gets stuck in a snowbound lodge with her ex-husband and his energetic assistant, she prepares for the worst Christmas ever.

Marta is proud of Adam's recovery from alcohol addiction. He is back to being the man she fell in love with. Giving him another chance is tempting. However, memories of the events leading to their divorce fill her with doubt.

Can Marta and Adam move beyond their past, or is a tenuous friendship all they can hope for?

Note:

The featured story is suitable for all audiences. The heat levels of the stories in the anthology range from mild to spicy.

The First Line/Book Beginnings

“Really, Marti? Blasting The Ride of the Valkyries while tearing up the Dalling Rise?” Ophrah Pololáník asked, checking her seat belt and looking askance at the driver.

The Friday 56

“Not as often as I’d like to. Ophrah and I try to have an arts and crafts day once a month.”

Heads up!

Once the anthology is released, I will feature the other stories in forthcoming Friday Book Blogger specials.

I will be featuring excerpts from Snowbound Hearts for various blog hops in the forthcoming months.

Book Blogger Hop

6th-12th - September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. What role have libraries played in your reading journey? Do you have any recommendations for books or fond recollections involving libraries? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

I spent a lot of time in the library as an unpopular owlet growing up in the 1970s. I checked out a lot of totally age-inappropriate books. If there wasn't full-on nudity on the cover or a title like 69 Super Sex Stories, the librarians were too busy to pay much attention.

Next time I'm driving through Ault, I really need to stop into the library and get a card so I can sign up for Libby. Since 69 will be my age if I make it another 10 years, I'm long past the point when anyone needs to worry about what books I should be allowed to read. In fact, I wouldn't want kids checking out some of the stories I write under the Lil DeVille pen name, but as long as you're over 18, you totally can.

Get a copy of Lil's sweet and sexy m/m shifter romance, The Beasts of Hank's Wood, when you sign up for her newsletter.

Enjoy a sample.

Two stunningly handsome identical twins who pulled up in an old blue pickup truck diverted my attention from Vic's conversation. From beneath their straw cowboy hats flowed shoulder-length hair the color of golden honey mixed with cinnamon and a dash of red chili. They were hard-bodied and caramel-complexioned. Despite my size, they looked like they could sling me over their shoulders and carry me away, and I wouldn't object.

The guy driving the truck wore a blue checked flannel shirt, while his brother wore a green and brown one. The relaxed fit of their faded blue jeans couldn't quite disguise their muscular legs. As this spectacular pair approached our group, each opening their arms to embrace Reverend Jed, I forgot how to breathe.

This story was first published in the Beastly Tales anthology from Dragon Soul Press.
